E3 2017 DAY 1 : EA Press Announcements and Much More


The greatest week in Gaming, E3 2017 has finally arrived, kicking off the week long event at Los Angeles, with the first Press conference hosted by EA. This year, EA kept it's focus mainly on game releases however, the unconventionally long event ended with a much awkward multiplayer gameplay demo and a mobile game ad. Need For Speed Payback
One the most anticipated racing games of the year initiated the interests of fans after it's trailer debut a few days back. And now, EA released a gameplay trailer, which showcased a specific heist mission. The gameplay reveal consisted of adrenaline pumping action sequences, which seemed a lot inspired by Fast and Furious minus Vin Diesel. EA also released a few customization footages as well. Need For Speed Payback is an open world racing game with three main playable characters, with the main objective to take down the House, a Vegas based cartel. The game is slated to release November 10 this year, on PC, PlayStation and XBOX.


EA's New Split-Screen Multiplayer
This year, EA announced a quite unique game with a very different and a fresh approach to gameplay. Developed by Hazelight Studios, the company founded by Brothers: A Tale Of Two Cities, creator Josef Fares, will now release this game titled - A Way Out. It is a co-op multiplayer game, based on two inmates who work together to break out of a prison. This game is to be played in generic split-screen mode, with at least two players controlling the actions of the two characters simultaneously in the game.


Upcoming Game From BioWare
The creators of the famous Mass Effect series, BioWare Edmonton, teased their new upcoming game titled Anthem. This was in development, and the company has been quite able to maintain it's secrecy. This game is thought to rival the likes of Activision's Destiny, and much more. The company released the teaser for the game, which seems much promising. From the teaser, one could make out that the game is being held in a world infested by monsters, where civilians are protected by some sort of soldiers, while civilization remains resident within the boundaries of massive walls. More might be revealed tomorrow on Microsoft's press event.


Star Wars Battlefront II Update
Nothing as expected occurred regarding Star Wars, as the fans couldn't get a glimpse of the rumoured sequel. However, EA managed to reveal more about the sequel to the 2015 Battlefront 1, and it's upcoming free DLCs. The DLC pack will include Death Maul, and also many characters would reappear from Star Wars Episode 1 : The Phantom Menace, including Rey, who will be a playable character.


More From EA Sports
The sports section of EA games announced news regarding it's upcoming Madden NFL 18. The game is supposed to get a story-mode, titles Longshot. The story will revolve around a young man named Devin Wade, and his dream to play in the NFL. Also, Devin's father, named Cutter, is supposed to be played by Moonlight Oscar Winner, Mahershala Ali.


Although the hype for EA's upcoming FIFA 18 is full fledged upto it's brink, nothing much more has been told about the game. However, developers did confirm the fact that real motion was captured and portrayed in playable characters, including Christiano Ronaldo. This game also focuses on FIFA rising star Alex Hunter. The campaign mode will also feature smoother gameplay, better graphics, and a host of signature moves of various characters.
