Mi Mix 2 finally comes to India!

After much wait, and a good response to the company, Xiaomi finally takes the decision to launch Mi Mix 2 in India, and the sales will proceed under Flipkart. The flagship model had already stirred many people and have got a great response from the consumers, ever since the Mi Mix. This have also gathered some mixed reviews from the experts, never the less, it will be quite a bang in India after a long delay in release since its Chinese counterpart.

The first thing that comes into mind upon seeing the phone is its a-bit-awkward, but super impressive screen and the slim bezels. With an impressive Screen to Body ratio of over 80, and with the stunning 18:9 display, you will immediately feel the urge to try out some games with super stunning visuals.
A spoiler! Like the other contenders in its category, the phone doesn't boasts a QuadHD screen, rather an HD+ screen. While some of you may be turned down hearing this, but the 2160 x 1080 pixels with 430 dpi is really not unworthy. A small advantage, your phone doesn't spends extra battery life during screen-on time just at the expense of some extra crispness to display. The Corning Gorilla Glass 4.0 provides an added layer of security.

The second thing that will be hard for you to notice is the impressive ceramic finished back. With a step out from conventional build materials, Xiaomi clearly knows how to deliver a very clean and polished product. With complains from the previous versions that the phone was a bit too big to grip, Xiaomi provided this with an 5.99" IPS LED screen, which is just small enough to hold, and also big enough to be called in as a flagship product. There  have been also some changes from the previous versions, especially a more ergonomic design with less sharp edges and angles. The rounded edges are perfectly perfect for the phone of this size to give some smooth looks and also more grip to users.
The phone comes in an aluminium frame, and the rear camera rim comes with an 18K gold plating.
The phone itself comes in only two colour variants: Black and White.

While nearly every other brands are boasting dual primary cameras, Xiaomi decided to abstain from this dual frenzy, and rather packed an 12MP primary camera with a 4-axis Optical Image stabilization, which can record videos up to 4K real smooth. The fingerprint scanner is placed just beneath this. But the secondary camera is an age old 5MP camera with recording capability up to Full HD only. The real deal is the strategic placement of the camera, which received many positive as well as negative views from the experts. Quite obviously, the gamer dudes liked this specifically, as it reduced the screen-to body ratio drastically. Whereas, the good 'ol dudes didn't liked it much, as live streaming and video calls are really pesky with the a-bit-odd placement of the camera. There is no microphone underneath, rather a special ultrasonic transducer is used to pick up the vibrations. A fine slit at the top side serves as the in-call speaker.

Now coming to the things inside this phone, this houses a 64-bit Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor, which clocks at a maximum speed of 2.45 GHz. This is being supplemented with LPDDR4 RAMs, 6GB and 8GB variants. With no option of memory expansion, this gentleman comes with an option of 64/128/256 GB, so you can really use it hassle free. It is powered by a 3400mAh battery, which is in turn juiced up by USB type-C. YES! Type-C! Enjoy and get turned down again. Although the phone charges up real quick, but it comes at the expense of not having a standard stereo mini-jack of 3.5mm. So either you have to dispose off your old ones, or buy a new Type-C to 3.5mm adapter. Another alternative is to go wireless, as this will make the port free for charging up. The phone now comes with an universal LTE setting, so that we can go hassle free internationally. The Bluetooth 5.0 and the barometric sensor are just the new addition to the features.

Whatever the reactions and expert reviews maybe, this is definitely the priciest phone that Xiaomi ever built. This is definitely race out other contender in its range due to its looks and finish, and with the little radical design changes.

So be sure to check out Flipkart in 11:30 am IST on 10/1017 if you want to buy it now.
